Metal Stamping
Our metal stamping capabilities include support for several different metals, including aluminum, steel, beryllium copper and phosphor bronze. We can also support various finishes, coatings and platings for rust resistance and solderability. Examples include chrome plated stainless steel ¾ hardened and nickel plating for stainless steel parts such as battery contacts so they are solderable. We support both progressive die and programmable punch machine technology. LBE customers have used our metal stamping capability to produce brackets, supports, spring contacts, face plates, and more.

What is

Metal Stamping?

Metal stamping includes a variety of sheet-metal forming manufacturing processes, such as punching using a machine press or stamping press, blanking, embossing, bending, flanging, and coining. This could be a single stage operation where every stroke of the press produce the desired form on the sheet metal part, or could occur through a series of stages. The process is usually carried out on sheet metal, but can also be used on other materials, such as polystyrene.
